The Office of the Prosecutor investigates and prosecutes crimes against humanity, war crimes, and aggression committed by State Party nationals on or after July 1, 2002. The Legal Advisory Section (LAS) is responsible for providing legal advice to the Office of the Prosecutor (OPT), Deputy Prosecutors, and other components of the Office.

Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree in law
- A minimum of two years of professional experience
- Excellent legal drafting skills
- English or French is required. Another language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is prefered
Duties and Responsibilities of a Legal Advisor:
- Drafting legal opinions and conducting research on various legal problems.
- Drafting litigation in individual staff cases, including representation of the Prosecutor in administrative proceedings.
- Drafting contracts, Memoranda of Understanding, and other agreements between the Office and external partners.
- Drafting internal regulatory documents, both within the Office and on behalf of the Office.
- Contributing to the development of Office policies through research, analysis, and drafting of other legal and policy documents.
